The Tajima TMEX C1201 is one of the more popular models Tajima has produced. These models have been manufactured from about 1990 until around 2000 and are frequently seen in mall-type environments. The Tajima TMEX C1201 is a single head embroidery machine with 12 needles.

The Tajima TMEX Series are Bridge Type (not Arm Type) embroidery machines. The adoption of a Bridge Type  structure allows for a deeper embroidery space (450mm). A Tajima machine with a C in it represents Cylinder (tubular) embroidery. Therefore, machines with the letter C in their model, have removable tables.

Embroidery on the circumference of caps is possible up to 270 degrees. 2 types (adult or child) are available for wide cap frames.

Standard memory is two million stitches and a maximum of 200 designs.

==Upgrade Options==

The Tajima TMEX C1201 embroidery machines shipped with a [[floppy disk drive]], but the legacy drive in these models is commonly upgraded to a [[Floppy To USB]] drive emulator.
