Waste isn't just a waste. It's not consistently garbage. We can reuse and recycle waste products. It can in fact provide energy like fuel and electricity. Waste to power (WtF) is a system used to generate power like electricity and heat through incineration of waste products or source. Waste to electricity is also called electricity from waste which generates fuel like synthetic, ethanol or methane fuels. There are also other methods of creating it although waste to electricity is processed through combustion. There are 2 types of technology used for thermal, this process and nonthermal. Thermal technologies comprise pyrolysis, gasification, thermal depolymerization, and plasma arc gasification or Pretty Good Privacy. The non thermal systems are fermentation, anaerobic digestion and mechanical biological treatment. In technologies, most of the carbon content is emitted to the atmosphere as CO2. That is when final combustion of the products came from gasification and pyrolysis. An illustration of gasification waste to energy system is the Biosphere Technologies. It can ecologically and efficiently waste tire to oil convert waste products into energy that is green hence it considerably helps in waste management and power generation that is green.

For non-thermal technologies, this occurs when the waste was landfilled because there is an anaerobic decomposition for the bio degradable (biomass) waste. The quantity of methane from landfill gas create greater than twice compared to the combustion procedure. Additionally, most of the waste is biomass or originated. There are 2 approaches to determine the biomass fraction . The first one is through balance approach and the radiocarbon dating. There are preceding techniques that have been developed which are manual sorting and the selective dissolution procedure. There are actually several processes which were created before but they employed the alternative approach (radiocarbon relationship and equilibrium process) because the initial two has limit. Radiocarbon dating is also known as Carbon 14 where it can determine the biomass calorific value and the fraction waste exactly. The balance method is the calculation of the result that is potential and provides existing data on substances like the composition. Also the operating conditions of the plant to Power for Waste. There are 431 Waste to Power plants in Europe for the year 2005 and United States has 89 according to ISWA According to ISWA or the International Solid Waste Association. Edmonton Municipal Waste-to-Ethanol gasification Plant is one instance of WtF crops.

These are some examples of waste incineration for Waste to Energy plants:Dickerson Maryland - Montgomery County Resource Recovery Facility (1995) Vienna Austria - Spittlau and Flötzersteig (1963) Sweden - SYSAV in Malmö (2003 and 2008) Ontario Canada - Brampton, Algonquin Power North East England - Teesside EfW plant Middleborough Greater London England - Edmonton Incinerator
