The BEAT IV (4) series from [[Barudan]] is a lineup of single-head embroidery machines manufactured from around 1989-1997. It features a [[270 Cap System]]. The Barudan BEAT series used a [[floppy disk drive]] to input design files. The successor to this model was the [[Toyota ESP 9100]]. Design-wise, the Toyota ESP 9000 is very similar to the first-generation [[Tajima NEO]]. The Toyota ESP 9000 reads [[.dst]] format files (same as Tajima).

The Barudan BEAT series machines included a keyboard for monogram lettering (see picture to right). The Barudan BEAT IV UG had a single take up lever and the BEAT IV YS had individual takeup levers.
