| Threads is used for editing, creating, and designing embroidery files. It is more like a computer-aided design software than a graphics program like Photoshop. Threads exports machine files that have raw data telling the embroidery machine where to move, where to put stitches, where to trim, etc. Threads software takes wire frame images and then processes them into the stitch files, which are then read by machines that do embroidery. Any kind of graphics design should be done in a program like Photoshop first before importing the image into Threads. Threads does not have any kind of graphic design tools, but it has many tools for making embroidery files.
