The Zywiecka Valley - the biggest Beskidian Valley - has a total area of above 100 sq km. The Valley is surrounded by the Beskid Slaski mountain range, from the west, the Beskid Maly mountain range from the north, the Jalowieckie mountain range from the east, and the highest peaks of the Beskid Zywiecki (Babia Gora/l 725 metres/, Pilsko/1557metres/, Lipowska/1324 metres/ Rycerzowa/1226metres/, Wielka Racza 1236 metres/ from the south.Zywiec is one of the most interesting towns in the Bielsko-Biala'a voivodeship. Zywiec is an excellent base for exploring the mountains and has good road and railway connections with Czech Republic, Slovakia and Southern Europe. Here is the shortest train service leading from the centre of Poland to Vienna and Bratislava. Numerous bus lines bring tourists to the farthest parts of the mountains. Here are the roads leading to road frontier crossings in Korbielow and Zwardon.

Zywiec is one of the most magnificent tourist regions in Poland. It is possible to practice all kinds of tourism and sports during all the year because Zywiec is situated at the confluence of the Sola and Koszarawa Rivers and at a beautiful mountain lake Jezioro Zywieckie (Zywieckie Lake) an ideal place for sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and swimming. Every year in July/August, the amphitheatre situated on the slope of the peak of Grojec invites you to the Festiwal Górali Polskich (Polish Mountaineers Festival), Tydzien" Kultury Beskidzkiej (Beskidian Culture Week) and Miedzynarodowe Spotkania Folklorystyczne.The area occupied by the sawmill seems to be very at-tractive because there is a possibility to call into being the artery of trade along the Sola River. There is a possibility of success with regard to tourism. It is planned to erect a high standard hotel in the area of Dzialy Zadzielskie. It is proposed to build a hotel base on the area of Targowica after the stalls have been removed.
