Melco is a manufacturer of single head embroidery machines. The Melco embroidery machine company is based out of USA. Melco is one of the most well-known single head brands in embroidery machine manufacturing.

Melco has also produced a multihead embroidery machines but now only produced single heads.

At one time, Melco had the highest sales number of embroidery machines and continues to sell a large number of embroidery machines.

EMC Series

The Melco EMC model was one of the longest selling Melco embroidery machines.

The Melco EMC came in 6 needle and 10 needle versions depending on the machine year.

EMC6

The EMC6 machine came in 2 versions. The machine came in a black Tajima Head or the white Melco Head.

EMC6 (Black Tajima Head)

The EMC6 version with Tajima Head was a machine with a white plastic base and a a black embroidery head and arm. This machine did not have trimmer options and had to be connect to the PC to operate. The head of the machine was also more metal based than the more plastic Melco based head.

EMC6M (While Melco Head)

The EMC6M (Melco Head) came in the following versions:

  • EMC6M
  • EMC6MT
  • EMT6MTL

The EMC6M version with Melco Head was a machine with a white plastic base and a white embroidery head and arm. The EMC6M version did not have trimmers and had to be connect to the PC to operate. The head of the machine was also more plastic based than the more metal Tajima head.

The EMC6MT version featured trimmers and had a floppy disk port. These machines can now be upgraded with the Floppy To USB reader.

The EMC6MTL version had all the features of the EMC6MT and a large bobbin.

EMC10

The EMC10 machine is a 10 needle single head Melco embroidery machine manufacture from 1994 - 1998. The machine came with optional trimmers and standard bobbin. The machine came with optional floppy disk drive. These machines can now be upgraded with the Floppy To USB reader.

EMC10/4

The EMC10/4 machine is a 10 needle 4 head Melco embroidery machine manufacture from 1994 - 1998. The machine came with optional trimmers and standard bobbin. The machine came with optional floppy disk drive. These machines can now be upgraded with the Floppy To USB reader.

Melco embroidery machines are very solid embroidery machines. They are more expensive that most all competing models but, they are very solidly built and have a good resell market. There are a lot of embroidery machine technicians available world wide and parts are pretty easy to find even for older models.

Selling
