The Toyota 820A is a 6 needle machine and the Toyota 830 is a 9 needle machine.  Otherwise, the two single head machines were identical.  The machines did not come with disk drives however a very rare amount of external disk drives we sold.  The machines have a 25 pin serial port that most operators used to connect directly to their PCs to transfer their data designs.  Special software is needed to transfer the designs directly to the machine.  The [[BlackBox]] is also a solution to read designs from a USB stick directly into the machine.
The 820A and 830 were redesigned and upgraded from the previous 820 model.  A much more sleek control panel was used and the machine came with the ability to store more that one design at a time.
Although the 820A has '820' in its model, the 820A is very different from the 820 model.
The 820A and 830 did not use the cap system with the motor used by the 820 but instead used an all mechanical version.

In 1990 Tajima released the TME-HC series embroidery machine.  The TME-HC did not come with a floppy disk drive and only came with ports for external readers such as an external paper tape reader or Floppy Drive.  The machine came in options of 4,6, 12, 15 or 20 heads.  The machine only had manually removable table tops (nothing automatic).  The machine was only available as 6 or 9 needles.

Buying

Toyota embroidery machines are probably one of the best machines on the market. They are more expensive that most all competing models but, they are very solidly built and have a good resell market. There are a lot of embroidery machine technicians available world wide and parts are pretty easy to find even for older models.

Selling

TheEmbroideryWarehouse buys and sells most every make and model of Toyota embroidery machines located within the continental USA. They also purchase parts, parts machines, salvage machines and most everything else related to embroidery equipment.
